Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Minister for Works and Housing, has defended the government’s commissioning of infrastructure projects ahead of the 2024 elections, insisting it reflects the government's long-standing commitment to development, not an election tactic.

Speaking on Channel One TV’s The Citiuation Room, Oppong Nkrumah emphasized that these projects are part of a continuous effort to promote growth, citing recent inaugurations like 80 new schools.

He argued that the real impact comes from sustained efforts over time, not last-minute actions.

His comments follow President Akufo-Addo’s recent project launches, including the Bridge Power Project, the Flower Pot Interchange, and the Bank Square for the Bank of Ghana, all designed to boost the country's infrastructure.
