Dr. Kwabena Opuni Frimpong, former General Secretary of the Christian Council, has called on political parties to commit to zero tolerance for electoral violence and deaths during the 2024 elections.
Speaking at the Regional Peace Summit in Techiman, he highlighted the eight deaths in the 2020 elections, emphasizing the need for peaceful elections.
Dr. Frimpong, also a lecturer at KNUST, urged stakeholders to ensure no violence before, during, or after the polls.
President Akufo-Addo also vowed to ensure a transparent, free, and fair election, warning against any attempts to incite violence.
