Health officials have revealed that the contact tracing for the doctor who tested positive for the coronavirus pandemic has hit 65.
A medical doctor at the LEKMA Hospital at Teshie tested positive for the coronavirus pandemic three weeks ago.
The Member of Parliament for the area Oko Boye who confirmed the development said that although the case has already been accounted for in the number of cases in Ghana, LEKMA Hospital will be shut down for disinfection today Tuesday 31st March 2020.
The Municipal Director of Health Service for Ledzokuku-Krowor municipal assembly, Dr. Jacqueline Sfarijlani, who confirmed the number of contacts traced to the media said all 65 contacts are not staff of LEKMA hospital.
According to her, the doctor works at another hospital and had contacts with some of the staff.
She revealed that all contacts have been placed under a 14-day mandatory quarantine.
Ghana has confirmed a total of 153 coronavirus cases, with 5 deaths and two recoveries.
