The five were caught on two motorbikes with Burkina Faso registration numbers
Five Burkina Faso nationals have been ceased by vigilant Ghana Immigration Service personnel at an unapproved route bordering neighbouring Burkina Faso.
The all-male ECOWAS nationals whose ages ranged between 15 and 34 were ceased on two motorbikes with Burkina Faso registration numbers.
Investigations revealed that they were destined for Kumasi and Techiman for farming and trading activities.
They were screened by the Port Health Personnel before being handed over to the Burkina Faso authorities on the other side of the border at about 1630HRS Tuesday.
President Akufo-Addo following the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Ghana announced the closure of Ghana’s borders-Land, Sea and Air.
The shutting down of the borders will expire on May 31, 2020.
