Court orders sale of Michael Essien’s houses

Michael Essien's two homes in Accra, Ghana, are up for auction, as ordered by the Deputy Sheriff of the High Court (Commercial Division) on June 12, 2024.

The properties, located in East Legon and Trassaco, are valued at $20-30 million.

Essien, a former Ghana international and Chelsea player, has faced challenges in his business ventures since retiring from football.

Despite earning significantly during his playing days, Essien's financial difficulties have led to the sale of his properties.
