Dare not proceed with SSNIT hotels sale – Organised Labour warns

Isaac Bampoe Addo, Executive Secretary of CLOGSAG and Chairman of The Forum, has revealed that Organised Labour has pressured the SSNIT Board to halt plans to sell 60% shares in four hotels.

After a critical meeting with the SSNIT Board, chaired by Elizabeth Ohene, Bampoe Addo emphasized Organised Labour's insistence on canceling the deal to transfer ownership rights to Rock City Hotel, owned by Minister Bryan Acheampong.

He stressed the importance of labour's involvement in SSNIT, asserting their right to oversee the management of their contributions.

The deal has faced widespread criticism and a formal investigation request by MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
