Decision to allow media into IPAC meeting laudable – NPP

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has praised the decision to allow media coverage of the upcoming Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting, calling it a commendable move.

NPP National Organiser Henry Nana Boakye stated that while media access is positive, it should remain at the discretion of the Electoral Commission (EC) and not become a regular practice.

He emphasized that not all discussions warrant public scrutiny.

His comments come ahead of a meeting to address the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s call for an audit of the voters' register, which he deemed unnecessary, asserting the EC’s framework is sufficient to address any identified issues.
