Democracy Hub protesters burn NPP, NDC paraphernalia in anti-galamsey demo

Protesters from the Democracy Hub’s Stop Galamsey Now movement demonstrated against the NPP and NDC by clearing and burning party paraphernalia at the 37 Roundabout in Accra.

Frustrated with both parties’ failure to tackle the illegal mining crisis, the demonstrators chanted NPP campaign songs while tearing down the materials.

The police called for peaceful conduct, warning that the protesters seemed to intend violence and urged them to cease such actions.
