The Minority in Parliament has explained their reason for walking out of Parliament when President Akufo-Addo was about to deliver his fourth State of the Nation Address in accordance with Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.
At a press conference, they outlined reasons for their action which include the fact that Akufo-Addo is a tyrant.
The Progressive People's Party (PPP) Director of Operations, Nana Ofori Owusu is asking whether the Minority achieved their aim.
After walking out “did you get what you want?”, he asked.
Contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM's morning show, 'Kokrokoo' Nana Ofori Owusu said since there were invited dignitaries in the Chamber, the minority should have chosen another forum to express their grievance instead of walking out and bring shame to the country.
"The issues raised for their walkout keeps changing . . . I don’t think that was the right forum to do what they did," he indicated.
