The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) plans a peaceful demonstration on November 1, 2024, at Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital in Mampong-Akuapem following the death of a staff member hit by a speeding vehicle.
The protest will run from 8:00 am to 9:00 am, highlighting the issue of frequent pedestrian knockdowns in front of the hospital.
The GRNMA is calling for effective speed ramps to enhance safety.
In a letter to the police, they emphasized their intention for a peaceful walk to voice their concerns and advocate for necessary safety measures on this dangerous road.
