EC declines NDC’s request for live broadcast of meeting on voters register

The Electoral Commission (EC) has rejected the National Democratic Congress (NDC) request for a live broadcast of their meeting on the Provisional Voters Register (PVR) for the upcoming December 7 elections.

The NDC sought the live broadcast for transparency, but the EC responded that such discrepancies are common and do not warrant a live airing.

They reaffirmed their commitment to holding free, fair, and credible elections and are ready to meet the NDC at the agreed time to address concerns about the voters register.

The EC stressed that the aim is to ensure a credible register for the elections.
