The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced plans to reprint ballot papers for the Volta and Ahafo regions due to incorrect serial numbers.
Samuel Tettey, EC’s Deputy Chairman of Operations, revealed this during an emergency IPAC meeting on November 15, noting ongoing concerns about ballot serialization for the two regions.
He confirmed teams have been deployed to address the issue, with both presidential and parliamentary ballot papers set to be reprinted by Buck Press and Acts Commercials.
The EC will share the printing schedule with stakeholders and has outlined plans for disposing of defective ballots.
A certificate of destruction will be signed by all parties, ensuring transparency.
The EC clarified that the faulty ballots were not distributed, making a recall unnecessary.
