EC vows to deliver accurate figures

As the December 2024 elections approach, the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has reaffirmed its commitment to accurate public information.

This follows criticism over errors in data published during the ongoing limited voter registration exercise. The EC promptly acknowledged and corrected these inaccuracies, ensuring they did not affect the overall integrity of voter statistics.

Chairperson Jean Mensa assured the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) and other stakeholders of the EC's dedication to transparency and accuracy.

The Commission says it has switched from using Coral Draw to Excel for better accuracy in data representation, aiming to build public trust.
