Several customers of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) using NURI Prepayment Meters have been unable to recharge their meters for the past 48 hours, sparking frustration.
The issue is linked to an ongoing upgrade of the Standard Transfer Specifications (STS) protocol, aimed at ensuring uninterrupted vending services.
ECG has assured customers that the upgrade, expected to be completed by November 24, 2024, is free of charge and essential for system compliance.
In the meantime, affected customers are advised to try a reset method or contact ECG for assistance.
The utility company has promised to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
