A Pressure Group, the Economic Freedom Fighters have waded into the struggle of the law students indicating its preparedness to join the student’s upcoming demonstration against the General Legal Council.
“We endorse the demonstration called by law students in protest against the tyranny of the General Legal Council,” a statement by the Fighters said.
The Ghana School of Law SRC has served notice of an impending demonstration on Monday, October 7 by students following yet another mass failure recorded by students during entrance exams to the school.
This comes on the back of the poor results registered for the third consecutive time by students who are seeking admission into the school.
The Economic Fighters in their statement issued on Saturday and signed by the Fighter-General, Hardi Yakubu pledged the group’s support to the struggle of the law students to get the GLC to do the right thing.
“All Fighters are encouraged to join the demonstration scheduled for 7th October 2019.”Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere” — Martin Luther King Jr.”
“As we organize for this massive demonstration, we must also use this opportunity to look at the broader oppression suffered by all students at all levels of the educational system and to take active steps to bring down this anti-youth system.”
