Election 2024: Expert offers insights into voter trends ahead of December 7 polls

Musah Dankwah, Executive Director at Global InfoAnalytics, shared insights from weekly telephone polls tracking presidential candidates ahead of Ghana’s December 7 elections.

He noted consistent behavior among supporters of the NPP and NDC in both telephone and field polls.

Notably, many who voted for President Akufo-Addo in 2020 now plan to support NDC flagbearer John Mahama, with Mahama leading the latest poll at 53%.

In subsequent polling, Mahama's support dropped to 51.1%, while Dr. Bawumia's rose to 40.6%, indicating a shift in voter sentiment.
