Election 2024: NDC will ruthlessly fight galamsey – Ablakwa

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has vowed to implement a tough strategy to combat illegal mining, or galamsey, criticizing the current government for failing to address the issue.

This pledge comes after the Ghana Water Company Limited warned that galamsey activities have severely polluted many water bodies, especially in the Central Region, threatening water supplies.

Speaking at a press briefing on the NDC's 2024 manifesto, North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa emphasized the urgent need for a new government to tackle this environmental crisis effectively.
