Dr. John Osae-Kwapong, a Democracy and Development Fellow at CDD-Ghana, has raised concerns over the declining trust in Ghana's Electoral Commission (EC), as reported by the Afrobarometer survey.
He urged the EC to be extra cautious in its operations to prevent further doubts about the upcoming December elections.
This comes after the EC suspended an officer for unauthorized voter transfers in the Pusiga constituency.
Dr. Osae-Kwapong emphasized that even a single mistake can undermine confidence in the electoral process and called for the EC to ensure transparency and fairness.
