The battle between Nana Akufo-Addo and Mahama seems to have ended with the outcome of the 2016 general elections but it certainly is one of the country’s longest political battles of two individuals.
The clash dates back to their time in parliament, when Nana Akufo-Addo, then MP for Akim Abuakwa South came before Mahama, MP for Bole, to be vetted for his minister-designate role, Attorney-General.
Today, Mahama is Former President after defeating Nana Akufo-Addo in the 2012 elections and Nana Akufo-Addo is President after defeating Mahama in the 2016 general elections.
