The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) has responded to the Public Services Workers’ Union's (PSWU) planned strike, set for October 21, 2024, by acknowledging the union's concerns but urging them to reconsider.

The FWSC emphasized that negotiations over institution-specific allowances for PSWU's 46 member organizations are ongoing and that a strike would violate the Labour Act and agreed-upon Rules of Engagement.
