Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia claimed that Ghana is among countries with "zero hunger" during a youth event on November 3, 2024.

However, this statement was found to be false by JoyNews Research Desk.

According to the 2024 Sustainable Development Report, no country has fully achieved SDG Goal 2, which aims to eliminate hunger by 2030.

The report flags Ghana as facing major challenges in this area, with 4.9% of the population undernourished and 17.5% of children under five years stunted.

Despite some progress, achieving "Zero Hunger" remains a global challenge.
