Finance Minister to present Mid-Year budget review mid-July

The Finance Minister will present the 2024 Mid-Year Budget review on either July 12th or 15th, following the completion of Ghana's debt restructuring as required by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Majority Chief Whip Frank Annoh-Dompreh noted that the exact date is pending confirmation.

A joint caucus meeting on July 3rd will prepare for the Minister's presentation.

Ghana may soon access international capital markets for new dollar borrowings, as international investors and Eurobond holders see the recent debt restructuring deal—covering $13.1 billion—as a positive step towards protecting investor funds and restoring market confidence after two years of financial restrictions.
