Fitch Solutions insists NDC will win election 2024

Fitch Solutions has predicted that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) will win the December 2024 elections in Ghana, marking its third such forecast.

The report notes that the government is likely to increase spending to improve its chances of victory, having already raised public sector wages by 31% and tripled petrol subsidies.

However, risks to economic growth remain, including potential protests over voter irregularities and rising global oil prices, which could lead to inflation and affect consumer confidence.
