Five students from Mpraeso Senior High School have been remanded into police custody for ten days, following allegations of raping a female student.
The suspects appeared before the Nkawkaw District Court on Friday after being re-arrested by police, having initially been discharged the day before.
They are scheduled to reappear in court on October 28, 2024.
Additionally, the court has summoned the school’s headmaster, James Affadu, to explain why the incident was not reported to authorities.
A bench warrant has also been issued for the arrest of three other students who remain at large.
