Ralph St. Williams, a member of the Fix the Country movement, was arrested at Kotoka International Airport on September 19, 2024, as he was heading to Kumasi for a protest.
Oliver Baker-Vormawor, the movement's leader, claims the arrest is linked to Williams’ recent participation in a demonstration against government misuse of funds for the National Cathedral project.
Baker-Vormawor argues the arrest is meant to prevent Williams from joining an upcoming anti-galamsey protest and to intimidate activists.
He is calling for Williams' immediate release and an apology from the authorities.
