Forces of Victory calls on Victor Smith to contest Abuakwa North seat

Action pressure group, The Forces of Victory (FOV) Abuakwa North branch has sent an SOS message to Ghana High Commissioner to United Kingdom, H.E Ambassador Victor Emmanuel Smith to pick nomination forms to contest the seat on the ticket of National Democratic Congress (NDC).

A press statement issued and signed by local executives of the Forces of Victory (FOV) led by Mr. Felix Captain Mordjifa, Ms.Diana Worlanyo, and Mr. Daniel Owusu, said, “the above mention group in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of Abuakwa North wish to call on H.E ambassador victor smith to take up the mantle and contest the vacant seat of the upcoming general elections as our parliamentary candidate”.

The National Democratic Congress parliamentary candidate of Abuakwa North constituency Mr. Anthony Gyima has stepped down early this week ahead of the November 7 polls.

The party is expected to open nominations for interested persons from Wednesday July 20 to Friday July 22.

“It has become necessary to make this call and plea because we think the NDC needs a stronger force to reckon with heading into the general election”.

“The Forces of Victory wish to add that we will mobilize all the youth in the constituency to make sure, H. E Ambassador Victor Smith wins the seat for NDC so the people can enjoy development and also experience the transformation agenda of President John Mahama”, the statement added.

“The power to determine who leads us to great constituency status rests with us individually and collectively. Election 2016 should be premised on nothing less than a major transformation agenda that will take us permanently out of this tight boxed underdevelopment and never ending cycle of failure that is killing us at Abuakwa North constituency”.

“With the number of votes Ambassador Victor smith pulled in the previous 2014 election, we know victory will be ours this time”.
