NAGRAT has urged the Ministry of Education to ban Parent Associations in Senior High Schools if they undermine the Free SHS policy.
This follows the suspension of Ahantaman and St. Roses SHS headteachers for allegedly collecting unauthorized fees.
NAGRAT argues that these fees were set by the Parent Associations, not school management, and thus the sanctions are unfair.
NAGRAT President, Angel Carbonu, called for the reinstatement of the headteachers, adding that if Parent Associations disrupt Free SHS, the Ministry should consider banning them entirely.
