GAF cautions against calls for attacks on soldiers

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has warned against calls for attacks on soldiers, stating that such utterances are unlawful and pose a significant threat to national security and stability.

This followed a viral video showing an NPP parliamentary candidate urging small-scale miners to resist arrests by soldiers.

The GAF has condemned incitement of violence against soldiers and assured that they will continue to perform their duties professionally and with respect for human rights.

They encouraged reporting of any soldier misconduct to the authorities and noted that soldiers have the right to self-defense when faced with threats.
