Workers at the Ghana Highway Authority (GHA) are urging the government to pause the National Roads Authority Act, 2024, warning of possible industrial action if their demands are not met.
They express concerns that the Act could increase bureaucratic delays and operational issues.
In a petition to the President, GHA employees called for broader consultations before implementation and demanded the removal of two top officials for neglecting staff input.
They have given the government seven days to act on their requests and threaten a strike if ignored.
