GNPC CEO downplays impact of Ghana’s declining oil volumes

The CEO of GNPC, Joseph Abuabu Dadzie, has downplayed the impact of Ghana's declining crude oil production, citing stable petroleum revenues due to high oil prices.

Despite a dip in production from 71.44 million to 48.25 million barrels from 2019 to 2023, Dadzie emphasised the importance of both volume and price in revenue generation.

He acknowledged the need to boost production but remains optimistic, foreseeing improvement.

Dadzie also assured that the GNPC's Operational Headquarters project, nearly complete, will not be underutilised, praising its quality and expecting increased staff productivity.
