Galamsey: Arrest suspects who attacked JoyNews crew at Manso Nkran – Ashigbey to IGP

The Media Coalition Against Illegal Mining is urging the Inspector General of Police to arrest the owners of a mining site at Asumenya, near Manso Nkran, for kidnapping, assaulting, and seizing the equipment of three Multimedia Group staff members, including journalist Erastus Asare Donkor.

Armed men allegedly working for Edelmetallum Resources Limited attacked the team as they filmed the environmental destruction caused by illegal mining.

Despite a complaint filed at Manso Edubia police station, no arrests have been made.

Activists and legal experts demand swift action against the site owners under the Vigilantism Act.
