Osabarima Owusu Beyeeman, Chief of Akyem-Muoso, has called for resources used in illegal mining (Galamsey) to be redirected towards supporting agriculture.
He argued that investing in farming equipment would boost agriculture, create sustainable jobs, and protect the environment.
Speaking at the launch of Colonel Richard Danso Nimako's book on environmental protection, he urged a collective approach to combat Galamsey, highlighting its negative environmental impact.
Colonel Nimako, whose book addresses Africa's environmental challenges, emphasized the importance of education and conservation to safeguard natural resources for future generations.
