The Management of Ghana Airways has dismissed one of its Cabin attendants for allegedly trafficking in drugs. German Immigration Officials arrested 30 year old Diana Ahiable, when the Ghana Airways Flight on which she was serving was preparing for another fight to London?s Heathrow Airport last Friday. She has served with Ghana Airways for the past seven years. A source at Ghana Airways said Miss Ahiable was on the Ghana Airways Flight, which left Accra for Dusseldorf and London on Thursday the 26th of May. According to the source, after discharging passengers at Dusseldorf, the aircraft began preparations to continue its journey to London. In line with international airline regulations, the crew had to go through departure formalities at the Dusseldorf airport and it was during a search on the crewmembers that a whitish substance was found on Diana. She was handed over to the German security agencies and is currently being held in Dusseldorf. Ghana Airways has however expressed shock at the incident since it always carries stringent security checks on all its cabin crew and added that the action to dismiss Miss Ahiable is ?without prejudice to the determination of the case by German security agencies.?
