The Africa Centre for Digital Transformation (ACDT) has warned of potential cyber threats to Ghana's December 7 elections, urging stakeholders to take immediate action to safeguard the electoral process.
The ACDT highlighted the growing risk of cyber-attacks, citing incidents in Nigeria and Sierra Leone.
To mitigate these risks, the ACDT has recommended strengthening cybersecurity infrastructure, capacity building, public awareness campaigns, and developing incident response plans.
The Executive Director, Kwesi Atuahene, emphasized the importance of cybersecurity in ensuring a secure and credible electoral process.
The ACDT is committed to supporting the government and stakeholders to protect Ghana's democracy from cyber threats.
