Ghana marks fourth anniversary of Jerry John Rawlings' passing

The Rawlings family and Foundation have issued a statement to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the passing of Ghana's former President, Jerry John Rawlings.

The statement described him as a dedicated leader who devoted his life to serving the ordinary people of Ghana, emphasizing his commitment to freedom, justice, and accountability.

Rawlings, who passed away on November 12, 2020, at the age of 73, is remembered for his transformative leadership during Ghana’s socio-economic recovery.

He remains the longest-serving leader in Ghana's history and is celebrated for founding the National Democratic Congress (NDC), leaving a lasting legacy in the country and across Africa.
