Godfred Dame as A-G means innocent people will go to jail – Jakpa

Richard Jakpa, the third accused in the ambulance procurement trial, has criticized Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame, accusing him of using unjust tactics against those who challenge his interests.

Following his and Minority Leader Cassiel Ato Forson's acquittal on charges of causing financial loss to the State, Jakpa claimed that Dame’s appointment suggests that innocent people could be wrongfully imprisoned.

The Court of Appeal's 2:1 decision to acquit Jakpa and Forson has been condemned by Dame, who vows to appeal, arguing that the ruling disregards substantial evidence presented during the trial.
