A government delegation of seven members, which includes Defence Minister Dominic Nitiwul and Interior Minister Henry Quartey, will visit the Ndewura Sumali Jakpa Palace on Wednesday.
They will appeal to Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I, the overlord of the Gonja Kingdom, on behalf of Damongo MP Samuel Abdulai Jinapor.
The MP was recently banned from all Gonja palaces following youth unrest in Damongo.
The delegation, led by Savannah Regional Minister Saeed Muhazu Jibril, aims to seek forgiveness and restore peace.
An earlier plea by Muslim clerics failed to resolve the tension, leaving Damongo in a state of suspicion and mistrust.
