Former President John Mahama has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government of deliberately killing private businesses in it stronghold Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.
"In my time, people were struggling to use roads in Magazine because of busy economic activities there but these days, using roads there is easy as cutting bread".
According to the former President, the Akufo-Addo government has adopted Machiavellian means of diverting the people's attention from the economic hardship facing them.
"Instead of the government to work and ameliorate the poor living standard of the ordinary people, it has employed means of diverting attention from the economic hardship", Mr. John Mahama told NDC supporters in Kumasi during the party's Unity Walk.
According to Mr. John Mahama, one of the ways the NPP government has employed is to accuse former appointees his administration of corrupt practices.
"Every day money has been missing. ...if indeed it is true monies are missing what are you doing as government in power", the former President quizzed when he addressed hundreds of NDC supporters.
"You have to investigate for possible prosecution", Mr. John Mahama pointed out.
