Govt committed to equipping girls with ICT skills – Ursula Owusu-Ekuful

The Ministry of Communication and Digitalisation has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting ICT among schoolgirls, aiming to equip them with essential skills for a technologically driven future.

Minister Ursula Owusu-Ekuful emphasized the need to challenge the perception that science and technology are male-dominated fields.

The Ms. Geek Ghana 2024 Competition, open to females aged 13-21, encourages technology-driven solutions to Ghana's and Africa's challenges.

The ministry seeks to empower women in tech, providing a platform for girls to showcase their abilities, with winners receiving prizes, business support, and representation at the Ms. Geek Africa Competition.
