The Great Commission Church International (GCCI) has directed all branches of the Church in Ghana to adhere strictly to all the Coronavirus (Covid-19) directives given by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
A statement issued by Apostle Professor Samuel Asuming-Brempong, the Chairman, GCCI, Ghana National Council, which was copied to the Ghana News Agency, said: “There should be no church services, but let us continue to pray fervently in our homes and small cell groups to our God for his mercies upon us and our nation”.
“Even though the Coronavirus pandemic is upon all of the world, we should give thanks to the Lord for the Bible says that in all things we should give Him thanks ..... You know why? Because He is the Sovereign God and has made provision for us who are His children,” Apostle Prof Asuming-Brempong said.
Quoting from the bible, The Chairman said: “Thou shall not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flieth by day; nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand, but it shall not come near thee".
