Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the MP for North Tongu, has formally petitioned the government to stop the sale of four SSNIT-owned hotels to Rock City Hotel, owned by Agriculture Minister Dr. Bryan Acheampong.
Ablakwa's petition urges President Akufo-Addo to halt the sale, arguing that selling state properties, especially profitable ones, has historically been detrimental to Ghana.
He insists such sales should require the consent of all Ghanaians and criticizes government officials profiting from state assets, which he deems unethical and immoral.
An official from the presidency received the petition on behalf of the government.
