Hopeson Adorye’s arrest politically motivated – Buaben Asamoa

Former MP Yaw Buaben Asamoa claims the arrest of Hopeson Adorye, a member of the Movement for Change, is politically driven.

Adorye was arrested by police after claiming he detonated dynamites in the Volta Region during the 2016 Elections.

Buaben Asamoa, speaking to Citi News, alleged Adorye was detained after visiting the police headquarters and making a statement.

He claims Adorye's arrest aims to silence him and intimidate the Movement for Change.

Adorye awaits court appearance on Thursday, yet faces no charges. Police are investigating his claim of publishing false information, implying a politically motivated crackdown on dissent.
