Donkor Fuseini, a former District Chief Executive (DCE) for Drobonso-Sekyere Afram Plains in the Ashanti Region wonders how the Electoral Commission (EC) can claim to be neutral when its chairperson, Jean Mensa is 'partying and dancing' with elements within the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He said the NDC is not convinced the EC can be fair to them in an election when the latter have already described the opposition party as 'a threat to Ghana's democracy'.
"The EC should be a body which everybody can vouch for but if its head starts attending NPP parties and so on then...we are raising these issues because of their conduct and posturing…as if they have a predetermined conceived notion. They have already described us as a threat to Ghana’s democracy so what shows they will be fair to us during an election and that is why we are on them to make sure they do the right things," he stated.
Donkor Fuseini who was speaking during a panel discussion on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', added that "the conduct of Madam Jean Mensa and Bossman Asare is not painting a picture of neutrality" and that is making it difficult for the NDC to trust them.
