NPP Member of Parliament for Assin North, Kennedy Agyapong is said to have made some allegations against the Deputy chief of staff, Jonny Osei Kofi, claiming he has imported guns over millions of dollars in a supposed meeting held in his home in Kumasi to create mayhem come December polls.
Reacting to the allegations, Jonny Osei denied ever speaking in any meeting about importation of guns.
At a mini rally at the Onion Market in Kumasi, the Deputy chief of staff who doubles as a parliamentary candidate for Oforikrom on the ticket of the ruling NDC says.
“I hear Kennedy Agyapong is on radio spewing lies about me just to tarnish my good image. Whatever it is he’s alleging I don’t want to raise here, but I want him to know that I don’t have time to battle him over useless and baseless comments”.
Mr. Osei Kofi was quick to add that the fact that he’s been quiet over the allegations doesn’t make him a soft person.
“I’m not a soft person, but a liar like Kennedy is the least of my worries and shouldn’t be entertained. He is already in the gutters and I won’t descend with him”.
The harsh public criticism that greets his uncharitably insulting posture is worrying and I think he takes pride in endlessly making such reckless statements, Mr. Osei Kofi stressed.
The NDC he says, believes in politics of issues devoid of insults and lies.
The Deputy chief of staff cautioned that any attempt by any individual or group to ignite violence cannot be accepted.
Mr. Jonny also said government will not allow anyone to exploit and take Ghanaians for granted adding this will never be countenanced in the country ahead of the December polls.
“Government will make sure no one rigs the 2016 general election” arguing they will not allow it.
