NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia claims he will be more accountable to Ghanaians than his rival, former President John Mahama, if elected president.
Bawumia argues that seeking re-election will make him work harder and be more accountable during his first term. He criticized Mahama, who wouldn't seek re-election, for potentially lacking accountability.
Speaking in Kumasi during his Ashanti Region tour, Bawumia also announced that the Ministry of Finance plans to reimburse clients of liquidated companies from the SEC’s financial clean-up, aiming to provide relief to affected investors and promote financial market transparency.
