Alan Kyerematen, leader of the Movement for Change, is calling for a comprehensive review of Ghana's Free Senior High School (SHS) policy.
While acknowledging the policy's success in enhancing educational access, he emphasized the need to evaluate its financial sustainability and infrastructure requirements.
Speaking on JoyNews on June 25, Kyerematen stressed that without proper analysis of financial, infrastructural, and curriculum needs, the policy risks failure. He also highlighted the importance of planning for SHS graduates' employment.
Kyerematen proposed that after a thorough review, a framework should be established to ensure the policy's effective implementation and potential legislation for permanence.
