Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has commended officials at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI), for exhibiting professionalism in the discharge of their work.
Speaking in his first interview at his private residence, after he was granted bail, the deputy scribe who has been in the custody of the law enforcement agency for his alleged treasonable comments, said he was not manhandled in any way during his two day stay at the BNI and the CID.
Mr. Anyidoho who was speaking to Accra based Joy FM also described as excellent and exciting his experience over the past 48 hours.
“As deputy general secretary of the party, I didn’t doubt the fact that we had the support base and we believe in comradeship and camaraderie, and what happened in the last two days has been excellent, exciting,” he said when he was asked about the supporters who stormed the CID headquarters to support him.
“We thank the grassroots, we thank everybody. Former President John Dramani Mahama, the party chairman, general secretary, Members of Parliament and the lawyers and everybody, we thank God,” he added. When he was asked if he had any regrets about the statement he responded, "which statement?"
