The Institution of Engineering and Technology Ghana is calling for a forensic audit into the actions of Samuel Dubik Mahama, former Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
They want clarity on the smart prepaid meters projects and their financial management.
The audit, they believe, will aid the new Acting Managing Director, David Asamoah, in decision-making.
President of the Institution, Engr. Henry Kwadwo Boateng, criticized Mahama’s leadership and raised concerns about wasteful spending on replacing new meters within a year.
The Institution urges the government to ensure accountability and better management practices.
