IMF: Thanks for your patience – Finance Minister to Ghanaians as government anticipates $360m [Video]
Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam has expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for their support as the country navigates IMF bailout conditionalities.
Following the IMF Executive Board's second review of Ghana’s $3 billion Extended Credit Facility (ECF), an additional $360 million was disbursed, bringing total disbursements to $1.6 billion.
The Minister praised President Akufo-Addo’s leadership and acknowledged contributions from the IMF, World Bank, and other partners.
IMF Deputy Managing Director Kenji Okamura noted Ghana's strong performance under the ECF program, with improved macroeconomic stability, declining inflation, and significant progress in debt restructuring.
