Dr. Mohammed Ibn Chambas, has advised Ghanaian politicians to eschew politics of insults and practice issue- based elections ahead of the December elections.
According to the Head of the United Nations Office for West Africa and Sahel (UNOWAS), the stakes are high and the atmosphere is tensed as the nation prepares for the general and elections and that politics of insults can only bring choas before and during the elections.
Dr Chambas was addressing a forum held at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Center dubbed, Colloquium on Peaceful Elections in Ghana. It was themed, "Reducing the Incidence of Violence in the Election 2016 and Beyond".
